Anything else?
My treatment by the consultant and team in the haematology department has been excellent. I know I am one of the lucky ones because my cancer was curable but I was confident in the skill of the doctor. He went out of his way to make sure I was well taken care of , even though he was very busy he visited me on the ward and reassured me. He is positive and I feel he listens to my concerns and deals with them. I cannot praise the Radiography team enough, they inspire confidence. There are always two of them taking care of you In a gentle, professional manner. The consultant is positive and cheerful and he saw me half way through the treatment giving me reassurance and peace of mind. Chemotherapy was the worst thing I have been though. I am sorry that I saw different staff each time and some were not familiar with the job, they were not keen to help each other either. I felt afraid during treatment, altogether it was a truly horrible experience in the chemotherapy department. There was no privacy, it was crowded , noisy, uncomfortable and painful. Hopefully I won't ever have to go there again.
