"Grief leading to uncontrolled racing heartbeat"

About: North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust Salford Royal / Cardiology

(as the patient),

Back home. They kicked me out before tea time probably sick of me eating them out of the hospital. Feeling better than I have been for months. it seems I was very close to the point of no return when I was taken in. I thought it was all down to grief but my heart had gone completely out of control and I have been told that had I not been stabilised in the ambulance I would have most probably been DOA.

I cannot thank everyone who worked on me and brought me back to health so quickly. The ambulance crew and everyone at Salford Royal ( Hope ) Hospital. Especially the echo heart scan operator Zoe who went far beyond her duty and made me believe that my life was worth fighting for when I was at my lowest ebb. She then called in to see me the following morning even though she wasn't on duty. A really wonderful lady.

No wonder it has a reputation for being one of the best hospitals in the country. I will be eternally grateful to everyone who were so determined to keep me alive, when I quite honestly couldn't have cared less.
