"Experience from the Inside Out"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as the patient),

As a member of NHS Staff I don't expect any form of special treatment or privilege when it's necessary to become a patient. How pleasant it was therefore when I had occasion to be a patient in my own Trust, that I experienced the same special treatment as every other patient I witnessed being afforded that same privilege.

Every member of the ENT surgical / theatre team, Recovery staff and Rotary Ward were professional, skillful, courteous, knowledgeable and kind. There's often an assumption that because 'your in the job' you don't have the same worries as other patients, but when it's you and your family, those vulnerabilities are real and are no less than for anyone else.

It was a pleasure to be cared for by colleagues who clearly understand their roles and responsibilities and carry them out professionally on a daily basis. Thank you for a supportive, caring and professional experience.
