"Very poor nursing"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Anything else?

A relation of mine was admitted by emergency, the first part of the care was fine although no water was offered to him, and he could not speak, he was trying to tell us he was choking, eventually he ran over to a tap and put his head under to drink. When he was in the ward, they forgot to bring him his dinner one day, and the other times the dinner was cold, he was too poorly to complain. He had a jug of water with no cup, I had to ask for one. He said there was only two cups of tea offered during the day . He said he never wants to go back there again

We are really sorry to read about your relative's experience in our hospital. If they haven't done so already, please can you encourage your relative to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) so that we can discuss their experience in more detail and take any action required. PALS are contactable on 01296 316042 or pals@buckshealthcare.nhs.uk Kind regards Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust
