"Lever Chambers, Bolton"

About: Bolton NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

I attended lever chambers for an appointment at the family planning clinic. It was after office hours, as I arrived a lady stopped me and asked where I was going. I told her I was going upstairs, making it obvious I did not want to tell her. She then asked where, presuming she was a security guard I told her but she never explained who she was. Considering where I was going this is obviously not something I want to share with a complete stranger.

The lady on reception was helpful and told me where to wait but as I was waiting I realised I could hear everything that was being said in the consultation rooms. Considering the sensitive nature of what is discussed I don't think this is very professional. The nurse I saw was very warm and friendly and made me feel at ease. The family planning service itself is exceptionally good. I just don't think the lady on the front desk should be asking everybody where they're going without explaining who she is and maybe the sound proofing of the rooms needs to be looked in to.
