I rang the hospital to get a time for an appointment that was made for me, and i first spoke to appointments who attempted to transfer my call and failed. I then rang the switchboard and the woman who answered the phone was very rude and impolite. The switchboard staff has no clue, and transferred me to an answering machine without even informing me of who they were transferring me too. I then had to call again, and the second woman at switchboard was very rude again. I then spoke to orthopedic outpatients where the receptionist still had no clue, and was asking me for information. Instead of transferring my call to the orthopedic Secretary she put me through to theatre!!!! What a joke. he person at theatre finally put me through the the right person, and i still have to wait for a call back. This service was extremely bad, the worst customer service I have had in a while. The least staff members can do is say hello, and tell me where they are transferring my call too. The people at switchboard have terrible attitudes and act as if they do not want to speak or help me. This has really depleted my opinions of the hospital and its services, and i would not recommend to anybody. Absolutely revolting.

We have been having issues with our switchboard which has made it very difficult to use, but you are absolutely right that this should not affect the way in which you are spoken to.
