I needed to have a spinal operation back in January 25th January 2013. I am under the care of an Orthapedic Surgeon + a physiotherapist. My experience on the above. I find the surgeon was outstanding in his care for me, while going through surgery, and all the staff on F3 Orthapedics. I was very frightened, but I knew I needed this operation done, as I have a lot of problems in walking. I had physio, and I am still under the surgeon and physio. I have to say the physiotherapist has been fantastic in helping me, with my physiotherapy. I virtually had to learn properly all over again. The physiotherapist is a brilliant motivator, and encourages you to work very hard, he re checks that you are doing the excercises correctly, and working out what excercises that you need for the problems with your spine. I feel very privlaged and honoured, to be under the care of the surgeon and the physiotherapist. I know what ever help they are giving me, will be the right help that I needed. I have a very positive professional relationship with Orthapedics, and my wishes are to work with them , as one team. I was very happy with the nursing staff, who looked after me so well, when I was very scared of what I needed to go through. I'm the mum of our daughter who has Epilepsy Cerebal Palsey, with seivere learning difficulties. My husband has been a real tower of strength, and I find that the hospital staff, just don't care for you, they care about the whole family, and look at the whole family picture. I would recommend this hospital, and do recommend to people who are looking for a good hospital. My experience of Orthapedic Surgeon and Physio, my Opthermologist, Orthapedics and ENT + My dietician, is a very positive experience. I know what ever they do, is for my very best intentions. I know that I can trust them completely. When you come into hospital, you feel very vulnerable, and frightened as it's not easy to admit you need the help in the first place. This is a hospital, who are brilliant at making you feel at ease. As a patient coming in no matter what it is for, you need to learn to trust your consultants, physiotheraphy and build up a very positive professional relationship, this helps you to work well as one team in order to help you get better. I hope that helps people out there, who find coming in to hospital very frightening, which it is. If you can have that trust built up with the professionals you need to work with you, that goes along way in your relationship with you, and the team, this helps. them to do there job much easier and gives you wide open door, to communicate well, and know that you will be listened to, and your wishes being taken into consideration, to give you the very best care that they can. I do hope and trust that this will help a lot of people.
