I arrived for the hearing aid clinic at 0907 one morning last week although it did not start until 10. 00. I found 4 more people also waiting hoping to make an earlier exit. The audiologist opened at 09. 45 and approximately another 10 people had arrived. I was able to leave for 10. 45.
These clinics have always been a long wait but now it has gone over the acceptable limit (for me) of one and a half hours. The management should recognise this problem and extend the opening hours if possible. More people have problems with their hearing and need hearing aids which have become a more complex piece of electronics.
I still have to return next week as my problem needs more time and expertise than could be offered to me yesterday. I had tried previously to telephone twice but there was no reply so I had no option but to attend and it was horrendous. The staff are brilliant and cope well with what is thrown at them but in my opinion the management is sadly lacking.
