"Consultants need to learn some bedside manners"

About: Royal Orthopaedic Hospital

Anything else?

I was refered to this hospital from my local hospital, the whole waiting time was a farce, i was being told one thing by my local hospital and the opposite by the ROH. The consultation was a farce the consultant was condesending and not interested in the problem, it won't get him an article in a journal and i had to persuade him to do the very needed operation.. He wouldn't even biopsy the lump saying he didn't think it was worth worrying about!! I am now on the bizarre waiting list for a day case, bizarre in that if something more interesting "pops" up i'llbe pushed back down the list, despite the obvious distress and pain i am in. I only hope the consultant is a better surgeon than he is a people person. The pre-op staff were lovely and the hospital was clean and tidy.
