My son was admitted on to B12 from Burnley General with a suspected Testicular torsion. We arrived just after midnight and we were made very comfy in a private room and waited a very short time until the nurse came to explain what was happening then a Doctor came and checked my son over and then spoke to the consultant who also arrive within a short time and decided the best option was to operate so within less than 3 hours he was prepared for theatre and and taken down... All the time he was in theatre the nurse on B12 made sure I was ok and asked if I needed anything which was above and beyond their call of duty, He returned to ward c22 which again was a friendly place and the nurses were pleasant and assisted us in anything that we asked for. He was then discharged within 6 hours and able to return home to aid his recovery. The only down side was having to wait near 2 hours for medication to arrive from the pharmacy after he'd been discharged,
