"My fall on the Black Cuillins"

About: Mackinnon Memorial Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I was helicopter mountain rescued as I fell at the top of the Cuillins. I broke my nose and smashed my face on the rocks.

When I arrived at Broadford Hospital I was met straight away by a doctor and nurse and was given amazing 5 * treatment. I felt as if I was in a private hospital not the NHS.

Everyone was so wonderful and caring and although staff were busy they had time for you, the hospital was immaculate and my accident was actually made into a lovely experience.

Thank you so much Doctors and Nurses of Broadford my bruises are fading now and feeling a lot better. Kindest regards

Dear Brunton

I was sorry to hear about your accident yesterday. What a frightening thing to happen but how amazing that you describe it as being made into a "lovely experience". I do hope this wont put you off coming back to Skye or more generally being out in the great outdoors.

It was really kind of you to feed-back and I will go now and share your story with the staff. NHS Highland is here 24/7 for locals and visitors. We dont always get things right but I am glad you were really well cared for.

Kind regards

Maimie
