I was recently admitted to ward 21 of the Queen Elizabeth hospital, Gateshead for the removal of a tumor. From start to finish the care and treatment I received was absolutely brilliant. All the team including consultants, nurses and domestic staff were 100% professional, competent, and genuinely friendly. A special mention has to be made for doctor and nurse who in my opinion deserve the highest accolade for devotion to duty. There is a lot of criticism in the news about the NHS at the moment, but I can say with total sincerity that I could not have received better care from anywhere in the private sector. I would like to say a massive thankyou to all the staff of ward 21. Deborah Briggs
