"ward 21"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

Anything else?

I was recently admitted to ward 21 of the Queen Elizabeth hospital, Gateshead for the removal of a tumor. From start to finish the care and treatment I received was absolutely brilliant. All the team including consultants, nurses and domestic staff were 100% professional, competent, and genuinely friendly. A special mention has to be made for doctor and nurse who in my opinion deserve the highest accolade for devotion to duty. There is a lot of criticism in the news about the NHS at the moment, but I can say with total sincerity that I could not have received better care from anywhere in the private sector. I would like to say a massive thankyou to all the staff of ward 21. Deborah Briggs

Response from Queen Elizabeth Hospital

On behalf of the ward 21 team I would like to thank Deborah Briggs for her very generous and heartfelt comments. It is lovely to receive such feedback from our patients and to know that she had such a positive experience of our services. We will of course make sure that her thanks is passed on to the whole of the team. Faye Butle - Modern Matron
