What I liked

After finally arriving onto the EMU ward, I found that I was treated with respect and helped to control the pain that I was in.

What could be improved

The AandE dept needs to improve - well more to the point the admin staff as you arrive. I had been sent from my GP and had been accepted or a surgical review, however upon arrival and I add I was in a great deal of pain, I was usherered to the ticket machine and told to wait my turn, I was ticket No 67 and it was on ticket 41 !!!! even though I gave in my referral letter from my GP with the surgical review clearly documented. After waiting foe 50 mins I was eventually seen and ushered staright to the ward. I may add the nursing staff on a and e were most receptive to my needs once they were aware of the letter from my GP and the immense pain I was in.
