"Staff were friendly and helpful ..."

About: Warrington Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Staff were friendly and helpful - especially in neo-natal where I could not praise their efforts enough. Elsewhere, they were very kind but ridiculously overworked and I felt I could not take too much time away from others

What could be improved

Staff were overwhelmingly busy and I was stuck in hospital after a difficult birth where there simply were not enough staff to help patients (in maternity). I was left to my own devices, bloody and exhausted for about 6 hours, with no support or assistance and not allowed to see my baby.

the hospital was filthy with blood rivers all over the shower rooms that no-one had time to clean up. There were not enough midwives or support staff around to help - those that were were rushed off their feet and unfairly burdened

Cleanliness was so bad I even found a bed bug in my bag when returning home - disgusting
