"Logic says there was a slip up"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I have no complaints whatsoever as seen by the number of fives I have given overleaf, except that I consider the more complex the system is, the more points at which errors creep in.

I originally saw my GP in April 2013. I heard nothing until August when contacted by TRAQS. I was told no referral had been received. The receptionist at my surgery said a referral was made straight after seeing the GP.

Logic says there was a slip up. I have no idea at which end. We did not discuss any alternative hospitals. I wanted my local one.

Thank you for providing some constructive feedback regarding your experience with your hospital booking.

As all feedback is anonymous I am unable to comment on the reason for the delay in contacting you to arrange an appointment. If you would like to contact me at TRAQS on 01952 580441 to discuss the matter further, I would be happy to try and establish where this unfortunate delay occurred. In our defense is would be very unusual for TRAQS to contact a patient as long as 4 months after receiving a referral.

Nevertheless, although you declined a choice of location, preferring to attend your local hospital, I hope you that you have not been inconvenienced too much.
