"long waiting times!"

About: Moorfields Eye Hospital (City Road Campus)

Anything else?

I was sent to the hospital by my GP because my 5yr old child scrached his eye with scissors. We arrived Sunday evening @ 8:30pm. We were seen within 30 minutes by the nurse. It was upsetting that they didn't have a picture chart as my son didn't know the ABC's. That took another 30 minutes. After initial assessment we were told that children are given priority and would be seen soon! It is now 11:45pm the waiting is mostly empty and we are still waiting! All the adults have been seen and discharged! Even the ones that came after us! It's a total disgrace!!!

I'm sorry to hear about this. Something clearly went wrong. If you could contact our patient advice and liaison team (PALS) on 020 7566 2324/2325 or email pals@moorfields.nhs.uk, they will be able to look into this in more detail and take steps to ensure this doesn't happen to other patients in future.
