"Treating the elderly"

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital

Anything else?

The a-e department is a disgrace the way it treated my mother who is 90 years old and wanted to lay down while they assessed her hand to see if it was fractured which it was ,they made her sit in agony for one and a half hours .what a difference in the x-ray dept. and the fracture clinic ,they could not have been more helpful. I asked six times if my mother could lay down as has a p[problem sitting she is on morphine and gabapentin for this problem, they did not have a bed or trolley ,it’s a hospital for god’s sake, my sister and I are disgusted, that my elderly mother could have been treated like this.
