Anything else?
I was admitted in August 2013 for open chest surgery on Dorcas ward, for removal of two Thymomas, and was an in patient for 10 days. From the moment I first entered the hospital I was impressed with the genuine care and upbeat 'can do' atmosphere of all the staff: there was a genuinely 'happy' atmosphere at all times, even though there were patients with very severe conditions, and generally an air of total confidence between everyone, from cleaners to surgeons, of being right at the very top of their game. I have little experience of being an in patient at other hospitals, but my first feeling was 'why can't all hospitals be like this?'. I cannot thank all the staff too much. Ladies and gentlemen, what a team, take a bow, you are the best of the best, and I will always be eternally grateful. Derek Austin
