"Receptionist made an appointment for me to see a doctor "

About: Harmoni / NHS 111

(as a service user),

I used the 111 service on a Sunday about 3 weeks ago when I had a pain in my thumb. It had started to hurt on Saturday and was worse on Sunday, as we were going away my husband thought I should have it looked at on Sunday.

The nurse who answered asked questions about the type of pain, where it was and things like that so that she could diagnose the problem. She made an appointment for me to see a doctor at the Harmoni clinic in the afternoon.

At the clinic I was seen very quickly, the doctor did a thorough examination and compared both hands. He prescribed painkillers and antibiotics and I have been fine since then.
