Going through fertility treatment of any kind is a daunting and terrifying experience. Whilst my first (and so far only attempt at IVF) has failed I can honestly say that some of the staff are absolutely fantastic. I didn't have the easiest experience at the hospital, due to a mix up of notes, but the head of the department was responsible for my care. Words cannot describe how compassionate, professional and friendly he is. He put both my partner and I at ease, which is no easy thing considering the topic of discussion, but more importantly I felt that he really cared about us, that he was doing his best to help us achieve our hopes and dreams. Thankfully rather than go through a totally new IVF cycle again, we have some frozen embryos to use when my partner and I are ready. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the unit, the staff and the facilities on offer here. Makes you realise how lucky you are to have such a world class centre on your doorstep.
