Anything else?
My father was admitted to the hospital after suffering a stroke and from the outset, was treated with dignity and respect. As his daughter, I was informed of what immediate treatment he was given and what the results of the various tests showed. The occupational therapist met with me the day after it happened and discussed with me the plan of treatment. They were aware that my mother, aged 86, was confused and unable to understand what was going on and so they ensured that my brother and I were always the first port of call on the telephone. My dad was a little upset that he would be in hospital for his wedding anniversary and so the staff brought him home for occupational therapy on that day! I was concerned that at the age of 89 he might not get the kind of care that younger stroke victims would get but I needn't have worried. He has been discharged today, 2 weeks after admittance and after care is to be put in place. Thank you LGI Thank you to all!
"A big thank you LGI"
