Im 37 weeks pregnant i had a bad experience of maternity on my last pregnancy from already dfm with my daughter. I was induced at 42 weeks and this made me go into labor very quickly but no one believed me i had a ventouse delivery and after he disgusting treatment throughout my daughter had a blue episode at 4 hours old and ended up on neonatel intensive care. After complaining about this to pals this year an after finding out i was pregnant again i was reassured my experience this time would be better and looks like im in for another traumatising experience. I have been in this hospital 3 times so far this week and due a 4th today so far ive spent 17 hours and only 7 hours of that was being seen the rest waiting im scared stressed and worried im suffering from dfm again but its got to the point im not feeling baby move at all but im getting fobbed off constantly that no one believes me i shouldnt have to get stressed every day now to know my child is ok because of not feeling her the docs should believe the patients instead im given a plan which still doesnt make me feel any better about the decision i will be attending day assessment today and requesting to speak to a doctor again as its not good enough i know september is a busy month but if paperwork was actually signed off quicker you wouldnt have people waitin about and they would be discharged quicker with rooms then available for putting the next person in instead of constantly closing the unit!

We are sorry to hear that you have been disappointed with your experience - this is not the sort of care we wish to provide to our patients All of our midwives are happy to discuss any worries or concerns patients may have, and will do their best to resolve any problems as soon as they are raised. It is unfortunate that you did not raise your concerns during one of your visits as the lead midwives or matron for the Maternity department would have been happy to speak with you in an attempt to resolve any issues promptly.
