Anything else?
For over four years i have had a continuous back problem, which has, in time, caused neuropathy in my right foot. This has lead to having a pressure sore which turned to an ulcer. Somehow this has caused my foot to become distorted and has now turned where i am walking on the side of my foot. It has also inverted so it is almost at a 90 degree angle. It is becoming increasingly hard to walk and is very painful 24/7. I have been seeing the same consultant for over two years now. He first put my leg in plaster, which caused the foot to turn back to its normal state and the ulcer's healed. instead of keeping some sort of padding to prevent it from happening again, my consultant sent me home with one peice of yellow line over my leg. The next morning, the ulcer broke out again and my foot returned to the previous shape. since this occured, my consultant has mentioned some things that could have been done to sort the foot out, but has not acted on his words. I have been left in a state of limbo for too long. It has come to the point now where i am completley housebound and struggling to walk even 10 yards. I feel like he is not interested in helping me or my state of mind. I have now given up all hope of ever being how i used to be and i also have no faith in the doctors at leighton any more. i really hope that someone will listen to me and help me when they read my comment.
