Anything else?
On my way to a holiday in Carbis Bay I fell, damaging both arms and both knees. My left arm was a worry, as I'd broken it twice before, but - reluctant to take at the very least, half a day out from my holiday - I ignored it and struggled through the week. Eventually my husband insisted on a hospital visit and we went to Penzance Hospital. Well! What a revelation! We were able to park outside; the hospital was spotless and very quiet; I waited about 5 minutes before the lovely nurse came and had a chat to assess me; two minutes later the doctor arrived to examine my arm and send me for an X-ray. That established that my elbow was fractured and I was fitted with a collar and cuffs, and after a further chat with the nurse, I was done. We'd paid for two hours parking, expecting to have to pay for a further two hours, but we hadn't even needed one hour. Thank you so much to all the staff, from the receptionists to the nurse, radiologist and doctor - I have never been treated so quickly and so courteously. I only wished I lived nearby and could claim Penzance as my local hospital - definitely worth moving 350 miles for!!
