A&E Minors - Wednesday 28.08.13 Dr dismissed the symptoms of a knee inflammation due to Rhumatical disease already established in the joints to avoid further cost for proper treatment leaving me bed bound at the age of 46 with 9 and 11 years old kids having to fend for themselves. Dr said that I must have injured my knee during exercise although I explained that I only did some sit ups up at home and cycling which I’m used to do. I never felt any thing was wrong during or immediately after my daily activities. I have also explained that I had experienced exactly the same problem with my right leg 6 mnths ago but less intense, while I was very busy with my academic work and wasn’t doing any physical activities. I was diagnosed with Rheumatic Arthritis when I was only 6 years old due to severe infection in the tonsillitis which lasted for years before I could remove them. I suffered joint pain through out my life which deformed my bones especially at the level of the knees but never experienced severe inflammation and was never bed bound because of it before this year. I know that proper diagnosis and proper medication can make a difference. I am still young with very young children and big responsibilities over my shoulders, and treatment can be beneficial. Please help.
