My 5 year old had an appointment in the fracture clinic. There wasn't even anywhere to sit as they were running so far behind, you had people coming in with broken legs having to stand up. They were running 2. 5 hours over appointment times.
My daughter had fractured the growth plate in her ankle so I had her in a buggy so at least she had some where to sit, she got very bored and I ended up walking around the hospital with her.
As the appointment was in school holidays I had needed to leave my other child with someone else thinking it would only be for a short time, they must of known they were running behind why could someone not of phoned me and asked for us to come a bit later.
When my daughter originally fell and a took her to A&E I could not fault the childrens dept, they were great, we were home within an hour including xray and putting a cast on her ankle. Maybe the fracture clinic should take some lessons from the childrens A&E.
