"Elderly parent care"

Eventually got help after 48 hours appalling care and compassion and assessment non existent.

About to make serious formal complaint to trust at the highest level possible. We know the process, We are concerned about geriatric health care at the QE. We feel it's is appalling and negligent.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your relative’s experience at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

We welcome all feedback and would like to assure you that all comments are taken seriously and acted upon as part of our ongoing commitment to improving patient experience.

We are very concerned to hear about your experience during a visit to our hospital. This is certainly not the type of experience we would want anyone to have as a patient or relative under our care. We strive to provide the highest standard of care possible and we are very sorry if we did not achieve this whilst caring for your relative.

You have mentioned making a formal complaint; if you have done this already your concerns will be thoroughly investigated and we will aim to provide you with a satisfactory response. If you have not done this please make contact with us via our PALS team. The team will be able to put you in touch with the right senior manager to discuss your concerns and try to establish what has gone wrong. This will help us to make changes where necessary to try to prevent this happening again.
