"Surgery and aftercare"

About: Leicester General Hospital

Anything else?

I write on behalf of my sister - Yasmeen: She had an operation in the gyna ward last year and from the moment she was admitted I felt she was being looked after by real caring and understanding staff. All the staff were very helpful and professional in their approach. I include the Receptionist, admitting nurse and the aftercare nurses. Ok the food wasn't great but it was edible and nobody goes to hospital for the food. I believe the priority is the success of the operation and how the patient is put at ease. I have nothing but praise for the way the Hospital and in particular, this Ward was run. The staff were run off their feet and still had time to offer people a cup of tea. They didn't have to do this and I'm in awe of the staff commitment. Thanks to all the team.
