About: East Surrey Hospital

Anything else?

had opd april 30th 2013, was told 6 - 8 weeks it would be done in june. funally after several calls to waiting list dept was told oh you need assessment this finally done 28/6/13. advised by another hospital would need op 29/7/13. phone waiting list dept told you cant just ask for apt in those weeks now 12weeks from opd. they tell me they were taking me off list till after op as 6 weeks have to elapse. but i had 4 clear weeks i was available. i ring after having posted letter to th doctor nothing heard secretary says should not still b waiting am put through to waiting office spoke to clerk after giving all details again she tells me no its not her but her colleague who will ring me today time phoned 10am. i am now taking warfrin and need to stop for some days before and after surgery. i am hopefully to have a graft bypass on left leg late november remembering i need to leave 6 weeks before another ga. gone 2.30pm i phone again i am told by the original clerk she told the other person who never came back when she did i again repeat all my dob telephone no etc she was busy she says. i explain i havev window all october which will give me 6 weeks inbetween ops she puts me on hold east surrey music played you want to change it, then the first voice wants all the info yet again she tells me i sound annoyed well my phone was on speaker and i could hear them constantly referring to me as both she and her? So iu again repeat all info all time i have waited when next op may be and my window of 4 weeks in october i am left on hold still listenning to them discussing me ie ask one to the other has she had it before? eventually clerk comes back says i shall need all the details again where you having this done oh i have to get the diary some 34 minutes on the line i was no further forward, on april 30th told by consultant botox given on named patient basis hew tells me june which was some 13 months since last infusion this year if i get it in october my bladder will have been distressed now some17 months causing me to self catherise up to 10 times daily, so i am praying that i can have my named botox cos sure as hell they gave my planned june dose to someone else, and yes this will b the 5 th time i have had this procedure it has certainly changed my life am no longer when it is performed regularly having to seek loo.or carry 6 or so catheters when i go out. i suppose will b told it is cut backs if so perhaps i should be booking my request for the procedure next year in next couple of months when i am no longer housebound with operation site not fully healed i will go to my gp and ask for referral will certainly b quicker than this year 2013 route. according to waiting list dept no good speaking to secretary cos is them that do the list well i have obviously fallen foul of them. disgruntled with waiting.
