Anything else?
I gave birth to my second daughter in May 2013 at Harrogate. Although my labour started normally, due to the weight and position of my baby, I was taken into theatre for a forceps delivery. There were then further complicated when part of my placenta was stuck, causing me to hemorrhage and lose 2500 ml of blood. I can not praise the delivery team highly enough. Despite the urgent nature of their intervention, they communicated clearly with both myself and my partner. The theatre staff were particularly attentive to my distress and did everything to make me comfortable. During my post natal stay the midwives did everything within their power to aid my recovery and assist me in the care of my baby. Their attention to detail, care and compassion was superlative. Since I was discharged my recovery has been complemented with a birth debrief session, physiotherapy and pilates sessions. I cannot recommend the maternity unit at Harrogate highly enough. I will never forget their professionalism, kindness and expertise.
