Anything else?
I have a young child (7 years) who has episodes where she is rushed in to hospital and dealt with as an emergency. This has always happened to be Broomfield but she was rushed into Colchester General last week due to where we were at the time. This has given me an opportunity to see how she would be treated elsewhere and I cannot begin to describe how much better Colchester were at dealing with her. The nurses in Broomfield A and E are superb but the way the doctors deal with my daughter gets her stressed out - they drag the whole process out in a ridiculously long manner. The last time we had to attend the doctor who administered the drug she needed shot two doses of it into his saline in a 3 way cannula! He was then very stroppy about the fact it wasn't his fault (I will admit I raised my voice at his incompetence) In Colchester they got her in, put the needle straight in and the drug within minutes of us arriving and it was over before we even knew they had begun. This was so much less stressful for my daughter. Everyone spoke decent English, which I have to say is not always the case at Broomfield. Once again I would like to say that the nurses are great at Broomfield I couldn't fault them
"Terrible treatment"
