"Disappointing"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Anything else?

After about a year of waiting to get an appointment at the Orthodontic clinic, I finally got one butit was cancelled because the doctor wasn't in. I got another one but the time was changed for no explained reason. When i finally came for the Appointment i was given at the Orthodontic Clinic, I waited for about 45 minutes with about 5 different patients who also had an appointment at the Clinic. A lady finaly came and said we could not be attended to because of some problems with the Clinic. There were no further explanations, we just had to leave. I have a terrible underbite and it only gets worse as time goes.

I am very sorry that your appointment has been postponed so many times. It is sometimes unavoidable that clinics have to be cancelled due to staff sickness, but it is unacceptable that this has happened so many times and with no explanation. I would like to follow this up with the orthodontic team. If you would like me to investigate this further, please contact me through our PALS team on 01708 435454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk. Yours sincerely Dr Mike Gill Medical Director
