I visited for a day case procedure yesterday in the Gynae department ( G1) and had an excellent experience. I didnt have to wait at all before I was asked to go through to see the consultant. She explained everything very thoroughly and was very understanding and attentive to my questions and anxieties. I didn't feel patronised, rushed or ill at ease in any way, despite the sensitive procedure I was about to undergo ( a hysteroscopy) I felt at all times my dignitiy was respected and all the staff put me at ease. The procedure itself wasnt as bad as I'd expected and the doctor and other staff were very calm and reassuring. I was given time to gather myself after the procedure and even given a cup of tea and a biscuit before leaving the department! I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and understanding as it is not a great procedure to have to undergo.
