"I found the staff to be a credit to the NHS"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / General Surgery

(as the patient),

Had Day Case Surgery Short Stay Surgical ARI.

I was extremely nervous due to never having had surgery before. Everyone that participated in my care was friendly, thoughtful and reassuring.

I am a nurse myself and understand the current pressures of the job. Many of the staff did not know I was from a medical background and made sure everything was explained to me in full. I appreciated this and although I already knew most of what was going on my nerves were taken into consideration.

I found the staff to be a credit to the NHS.
