About: King's Mill Hospital

(as a relative),

What could be improved

As noted at the start of april as a carer of a disablied child who visits Kings Mill Hospital on regular intervals I was disgusted in the state of the area outside the Dukeries building while trying to access the Childrens Centre due to the amount of smokers, cigarette ends littering the floor and beer/larger tins placed on the floor next to empty litter bins ?? yet again this week we have had to walk through a wall of smoke to access your hospital, clearly no one reads these comments as nothing has changed in over a month, so if anyone does read this I would love some feedback form the hospital.

Thank you for your comments. We did respond to your earlier comment, but there have apparently been problems with the NHS UK website and many of our responses were wiped off. We do ask people to consider other hospital users and not to smoke on site, and our staff do challenge people who ignore the many notices, but there are a number of people who ignore both signs and staff and continue with this antisocial behaviour. We unfortunately do not have any legal powers of enforcement against these people, other than to appeal to their good nature and respect other people's health. The same applies to littering on site.
