"The nurses were a lot more attentive ..."

About: King's Mill Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The nurses were a lot more attentive than those at Queens.

What could be improved

I stayed in a room and just outside was an anti-bacterial handwash dispenser for use by the staff, with a flyer next to it saying 'Wash your hads, it only takes a minute' or something to that effect.

In over 36 hours the dispenser was used once!

Say no more.

Thank you for your comments. The trust enforces a strict hand washing regime for staff and has embarked on a series of awareness raising campaigns. Without knowing the specific ward it is difficult to respond specifically , however your comments about the dispenser will be passed to the Infection Control team and steps will continue to be taken to reinforce the message about hand washing.
