"Triage A&E"

About: Airedale General Hospital

Anything else?

I attended A&E with bilary colic - I was seen by a triage nurse who asked very little beyond my name and address and where the pain was. She gave me a urine sample bottle but did not tell me where to put it once I had obtained it. She sent me for an ECG and said if that was clear I cd go home. I queried why no investigations were being made to my gall bladder. I told a nurse that triage is useless as the person involved is rude, obnoxious and she did not even take a history which renders triage useless! I was the given a liver function test which was abnormal and am now having the right treatment. I worry that others who are not confident would be fobbed off and ultimately be at risk. When i pulled up the triage nurse she indicated she only had 1.5 minutes to see a patient and did not have enough time to ask more! Not much poin in triage then
