"Poor appointment system Keyworth Medical Practice"

The docs at Keyworth Medical Practice are great. The nurses more so. But the organisation is beyond shambolic. Booking an appointment this week actually drove me beyond the point where my brain can function (I'm bipolar) - just because I rang to say I'd be 10 minutes late. I had to cancel the appointment, wasn't allowed any leeway, and told to call again at 8am when I 'might' get an appointment in the morning or on Monday. I get paid by the hour - I felt that the lady had no emotion for my situation or condition.

The system of appointments actively encourages smart people to lie and cheat to get quick appointments - while everyone else is made to wait an age. Today, the reception did not turn on the prescription line on at 2pm - which is only open for 2 hours a day, forcing everyone to call at once, when it's always engaged and makes everyone stressed.

Why is it this dysfunctional? I could design a better, cheaper, more effective, less stressful for all concerned system in less than a day.
