The nursing staff were amazing throughout, my issue is with the consultant and the fact that on the eveing of August 7th 2013 they left my young son for 6 hours while trying to locate the consultant to make a decision on surgery or not..... Decided to admit him next morning for review about operation and was told NIL by mouth and prep'd for surgery, but after a 2 minute consultation with the surgeon he sent my son for a CT scan... after a further 6 hours wait and us complaining of waiting the nurses finally got us an answer and sent us home for a review in a few days time... digusting lack of respect for us or our young son, the consultant did not even come back and explain anything to us. We have waited now a total of 15 hrs over 2 days to see wait for a consultant to look at his xray and decide on an operation or not...
