"My healthy little miracle"

My partner and I found out we were pregnant when I was 18 and a half weeks pregnant we had our first scan at 19 weeks at Birmingham Women's Hospital and the staff were amazing and very supportive, I chose to have my baby at Women's Hospital.

Throughout my pregnancy I did have a couple of appointments at the hospital as I was so far gone when I found out and also missed important tests I. e downs syndrome etc anyway the hospital staff supported me all the way.

At the end of March 2013 my contractions start at 5 pm at home around 1 - 2 am I contacted the birthing center (where I was having my little boy) they advised me to go in when I felt ready and when my contractions were closer together..I arrived at the hospital at 3. 30 am I was already 5 - 6 cm dilated and was told I needed a bed fast! ! Everything went great apart from the pain midwifes never left my side throughout my labour and were fantastic throughout and my healthy little boy was born at 7. 48 am weighing 8lb 1/2 ounce he was delivered by a student midwife : )

The support I received whilst in hospital was great but I would have liked more advice and encouragement on breastfeeding..we also managed to leave the hospital at 2 pm the same day: )

Thank you to all the midwifes and student midwifes for delivering and looking after my healthy little miracle.
