"Out patient at TIA clinic"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

I attended for assessment following an episode at home, via GP referral. Every aspect of my experience was outstanding, and, further, I observed many instances of great care and attention to detail for other patients as well. What stood out overall was the lovely welcoming and smiley attitude of all staf in the clinic and x ray and scanning departments. Everything was done so quickly and thoroughly, I could not have asked for more. I also witnessed a health assistant take time to hold a distressed old lady's hand and hear her concerns even though she was not her patient, and had other duties to fulfil....so caring and heartwarming to see.

Many thanks for your heartfelt feedback and for taking the time to highlight the positive experience you had at the TIA clinic.

We have recently centralised stroke services at our Worcester site, and are working hard to improve the quality and patient experience for both our inpatient and outpatient stroke and TIA services with more improvement in initiatives on the way.

It can be a frightening experience for some to come to the hospital for appointments and tests, and we are so pleased that your experience of our welcome, treatment and approach was outstanding, and that you observed others receiving good quality care.

We will ensure that we share your feedback with the departments you have referred to, and will do our best to find the Health Care assistance who you refer to
