"999 ambulance callout"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

Anything else?

My 4yr old had a febrile convulsion yesterday afternoon-first one in her life, and was unresponsive and her lips turned blue. Within seconds of this starting I rang 999, luckly my daughter regained some response after 2-3mins, but I was shocked and angered that an ambulance did not attend regardless of her becoming slightly responsive I had to take her myself or was advised to take her to my gp within 2hrs of episode!!!! She is a young child who needed help..nneven taking her to frimley park a&e within mins, docs struggled to get her temp nd heart rate under control. Thankfully she is on the mend nd i cannot thank the childrens dept anymore for there help we recieved. But still she is a child nd surely an ambulance should of been dispatched regardless. Extremly dissapointed nd a good job we had a good outcome.

Firstly, we hope you and your daughter are recovering from what must have been a terrifying experience. Thank you for taking time to provide some feedback. We are pleased that you found the care from Frimley Park’s team to be good. We will forward your concerns about the 999 response to NHS colleagues at the ambulance service who provide this service, although they will not be able to respond to you directly via this website, so you may wish to approach them separately.
