"A broken finger"

About: Cromer Hospital Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

(as the patient),

I injured a little finger some 3 weeks before visiting Cromer Hospital minor injuries unit as it was not getting better. After an X-ray it was found to be broken and was described as a mallet finger. I was given an appointment at the Norfolk & Norwich hospital fractures clinic the next day.

At the N&N the finger was re-examined and put in a splint with a referral appointment to Cromer, my local hospital in 6 weeks.

At that appointment, after another X-ray, I was told the finger had healed and I was given advice on physiotherapy with a referral telephone number if there were any problems.

Staff were always courteous, appointments on time and the service excellent for what to me seemed a minor matter compared with some of my co-patients.

We are pleased that your experiences at both Cromer and District Hospital and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital were good and that you were seen in a timely way.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, we will pass it onto the Minor Injuries Unit in Cromer and the Fracture Clinic in Norwich. Hope your finger is now on the mend.
