"Trying to change an out patients appointment"

I tried to telephone to change my appointment. The operator put me through to Newham Hospital after I had asked for Barts.

The person at Newham I spoke to was having a social conversation with colleagues in the office whilst speaking to me and could not hear me. She kept asking me to repeat myself, and agreed that there was a lot of noise in the office. It was screeching with laughter and very loud voices.

I then got put back to the operator, who put me through to another operator. I was then cut off and had to call back once again. It was terrible. It appeared that the hospital was working for the benefits of the staff and not patients.

It made me feel very insignificant and I found myself apologising. Why I don't know as I was trying to speak but the Newham office was really did not seem interested in me. I also felt the lady I spoke to was talking in a seemingly loud and threatening manner.
