I recently had a total hip replacement at St Albans and spent 6 days in De La Mare ward. The operation went well and I was very well cared for during my recovery. The staff were wonderful, they worked together as a team and they seemed to be happy working there. The student nurses were confident and capable, a credit to the experienced staff who trained them. I was kept informed of every aspect of my treatment and treated with respect and dignity at all times. The ward was spotlessly clean, and had the bonus of a lovely view over St Albans.
