Anything else?
My daughter had her first baby there. The hospital is clean but the attitude towards males is from the dark ages. Men made to feel very unwelcome, practically felt like a sex offender. (this was my 2nd ever vist the 1st being to visit my sister and the attitude was the same) My daughter was there with her mum, mum in law & boyfriend. She was induced but the baby went into distress and she required an emergency section. Relatives where just thrown to one side as they dealt with her. Whist I know she is the priority not us we where told to pack her blood stained clothes into a plastic bag and wait outside as she wouldnt be back to that ward!! The family where told to wait in entrance area until "summoned"!! We had no idea how she was! After over an hour we caught a passing nurse who happened to be a Matron, she was excellent and found out what was going on. And got us the information we needed as we thought the longer time had passed the worse the outcome. The dont care attitude is obvious on the wards. I dont think the care can be faulted but the bedside manners of a majority of staff is evident. Some blaming cutbacks and low moral. Whist this is a world renowened hospital it is probably one of the most unfriendly places you will encounter when really it should be one of the happiest places in the world. The Matron was perfect and can not fault her
