Yesterday I had a perfect experience at the Royal Surrey Guildford. I went for a CT brain scan. My appointment was at 7pm. I arrived at 6.50, was seen at 6.55 and I left at 7.05pm. Perfect. Some time ago I had blood poisoning and was admitted. That went smoothly, the Doctor and nursing care was fast and good. But I was in a ward with 8 beds and most of the time the toilet was awash with urine and rarely cleaned especially at night. Other than that the experience was very good. When I was sent to the same hospital in an ambulance, after having had a blackout, A&E was faultless and thorough. Doctor and nurses were caring, thorough and helpful. Follow upo cvommunication works by letter, although sometimes a little slow. All up my experiences with NHS Royal Surrey Guildford very good including the eye clinic but on my first visit there the wait was endless (probably because there has been an accident on the A3) and a lot of patients turned up late and all at once. The second occasion was better but still slow. But the whole car park thing is a shambles. You shouldn't have to pay to park there.. The question below, which department did I visit cannot be answered because what I have written above applies to several departments.
