About: Glenfield Hospital / Cardiology Leicester General Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I had a stent put in when I visited hospital with fever and rigors and about a week later I was put on a drip with antibiotics. I was told I was on the drip too long as the antibiotics were being washed out.

I was then put on a catheter but this blocked after 1 night. I told them I was in pain when this happened but it was 6 hrs before they took it out after seeing how I went about passing urine they then found a perforation on my gall bladder following a cat scan. I was told if I did not have it taken out I would die and was transferred to the General the same night where I was told I was OK and could go home the next day.

After 2 weeks I went back to the general and was told I needed a op on my kidney - this would have been done if I had not told them about my heart attack in June. Glenfield had not told them and it made me feel they just wanted to get rid of me. If I had not said anything about the heart attack it could have killed me.

All in all I do not know what I had, if it is gone or where I got it from. I did not get a discharge letter from Glenfield which suggested to me was how quickly they got rid of me.
