"Despite all the doom and gloom, there is nothing that could be improved"

About: Brixham Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as the patient),

I recently received an excellent service from Brixham Hospital. For a start, the location itself is great for me, as getting to Torbay hospital is a bit of a chore.

I saw the orthopeadic consultant, following an x-ray I had received a few weeks ago. I can't remember his name, although I think it was Martin. He gave me an injection in my knee for arthritis.

All of the staff I saw at the hospital were wonderful and friendly.

In my opinion, despite all the doom and gloom you hear about the NHS, there is nothing that could be improved with this service.

Make sure the patient and carer voice is part of the commissioning process.

Many thanks for your positive comments. As commissioners of both Brixham hospital and the Orthopaedic service, it is really important to hear how patients experience their care and so helpful when people take the trouble to tell us, as you have done. I know that staff at both Brixham hospital and Orthopaedics will be glad to hear your feedback and I will make sure it is passed on to the organisations providing those services.
