I had a fundoplication operation last Thursday and from start to finish of my visit to WCH the staff were outstanding. The surgeon was a perfect gentleman and although my operation was bigger than he first expected he carried it out with his expertise. The nursing staff were friendly and always helpful and the atmosphere was second to none. I would not hesitate to have an operation there again. Med 2 staff were fab as well as the surgical unit staff. The junior doctor was very friendly, ressuring and helpful and my own worry I had for the op was being sick after the anaesthetic and the anesthetist was excellent in reassuring me that he would do his best to stop this from happening. I can honestly say I have never felt so relaxed going into an operation before. Thankfully the doctor was right and I will be forever grateful to him for not enduring the sickness I normally have from an anesthetic. Thank you everyone involved.
